On Friday (6/03) wine expert & St.C's parishioner Alex Murray led a tour of regional Italian wines complete with a potluck, homemade baguettes, and a bit of Sinatra crooning in the background. As people arrived and filled the tables with family fare, Alex uncorked the six wines for whetting our whistles. Over the course of the evening we learned about ancient Roman drinking habits (wine plus sea water!), the importance of modern grape-stomping, and also about Alex's near-death experience with a vat of fermenting wine!
