Mulch has never moved so fast! That's right, Glenn showed the work crew "how it's done" with several wheelbarrow sprints from the mulch pile in the parking lot to the opposite end of the property and the landscaping beds on Hancock Street. Did I mention the wheelbarrow had a custom paint job by Molly's Grade School class? On Saturday more than 15 people showed up for Round 2 of Yard Cleanup at St.C's. While the mulch was flying in the front of the property, our energetic youth, A.J. & Molly, joined Fr. Eric in the back of the property to discourage the weeds with some deadly spray. Molly summed up the experience nicely: "If this is what work means, then I like it!"
Thanks to Mike for his yardwork expertise and for wrestling a cement post from the front yard and helping carry it to the dumpster. Thanks to Rebecca for thoroughly refreshing the flower beds at the church sign. Thanks to our student volunteers from Greater Boston Chinese Community Services - the first to arrive and the last to leave! Thanks to Ward for organizing the effort, and a hearty thanks to Rob, Marcia, Bill, Judy, and Evie for spending part of your Saturday on yardwork at St.C's.
